JOB SUMMARY:
The Technical Support Technician provides technical support for all manufactured products. This is an exempt position that reports to the Laboratory Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer the technical support phone line to respond to technical questions and troubleshoot customer concerns.
Handle product complaints to final resolution, in a manner to insure continued customer satisfaction, and in accordance with the quality system procedures.
Track all complaints according to standard operating procedures and participate in monthly technical review meetings.
Test patient samples, evaluate pre-tested slides, maintain incoming patient sample logs, and follow up with customers with results.
Run proficiency surveys.
Assist in updating documents.
Assist in troubleshooting production problems and in-process change activities.
Assist in enforcement of gmp to maintain compliance with FDA QSR’s, international regulatory requirements, and the quality system.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as biology, microbiology, cell biology, or clinical laboratory science is required.
Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
A degree or license in clinical laboratory science is not required but specific experience with related diagnostic assays and the clinical laboratory environment is helpful.
