Veterinary Medical Specialists (VMS) is seeking an experienced veterinary assistant (non-RVT, minimum 2 years experience) to join our team in San Mateo. We are currently hiring part time (20-25 hours per week, 2-3 weeks of every month)weekday shifts in Radioactive Iodine Therapy (I-131). If Full time hours are desired additional shifts in internal medicine/oncolgy are available. VMS is a rapidly growing practice specializing in Internal Medicine/Oncology. The doctors and outstanding support staff have created a unique and growing specialty referral practice which emphasizes high caliber, compassionate and ethical service to our patients, clients and referring veterinarians as well as a commitment to the growth and welfare of everyone who works with us.

A partial list of responsibilities required for this job include: Client Education regarding the treatment and aftercare of patients treated with I-131, assisting doctors w/I-131 injections, providing patient care/husbandry, high-level diligence to complete state required paperwork.
